March was a month filled with melody as we celebrated Music in Our Schools Month at Holy Family Catholic School. Music is an essential part of a well-rounded education, and we are incredibly grateful for our dedicated music educators, Mrs. Aria Heim and Ms. Sarah Hanna.
Mrs. Heim hosted a music bracket challenge inspired by March Madness. Teachers played short clips of various songs and students cast their votes daily for their favorite piece. The winner was Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake – Dance of the Little Swans from the Romantic Period.
Students celebrated music with special dress-up days including Country Music Day, A Day at the Opera, and Sing a Rainbow Day dedicated to musicals like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Music has the power to bring people together, and this month-long celebration was a testament to the joy it brings to our students and staff alike. Thank you to Mrs. Heim, Ms. Hanna, and all the teachers and students who made Music in Our Schools Month a resounding success.
