Building Friendships and Faith at Holy Family Catholic School

The Holy Family community witnessed a heartwarming tradition during today’s All School Mass that continues to shape our school culture. Our Eighth Grade Leadership students sat with their first-grade buddies, offering steady guidance, warm support, and a shared experience of faith and prayer.

The entire student body gathered today at St. Agnes Parish to worship together. Pairing older and younger students creates opportunities for meaningful connection while helping our first graders feel comfortable and included, and giving our eighth graders a chance to model leadership, kindness, and responsibility.

Strenghthening relationships across grade levels helps our students live our faith in practical, heartfelt ways. Seeing our oldest students accompany our youngest reminds us why we value community so deeply at Holy Family.

Holy Family Catholic School Scientists Experiment with Pumpkins

Mrs. Phillips’ seventh grade scientists put their curiosity to work this week during a Pumpkin in a Jar lab. Each student carved a pumpkin and then sealed it in a glass jar to create a miniature ecosystem. Students will have the opportunity to observe the transformation as the pumpkins move through the stages of decay and eventually new growth.

New Assistant Principal

Announcing Assistant Principal

Mrs. Laurie Erickson has been appointed as the new Assistant Principal of GRACE Holy Family School in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She will officially begin her role today, October 20, 2025. This is a new role designed to ensure consistency of leadership and support students and staff through this transitional year.

Mrs. Erickson joins Holy Family with over 30 years of experience in education, bringing a strong background in teaching, special education, and school leadership in both Wisconsin and New Mexico. Most recently, she served as an Educational Administrator and Program Specialist for the New Mexico Public Education Department, providing leadership training and supporting special education programs across the state. Her extensive teaching experience includes working with students in grades 7 and 8, as well as developing programs for diverse learners across all grade levels. Her career has been marked by a dedication to academic excellence and a deep commitment to supporting the whole child: mind, body, and spirit. Mrs. Erickson holds her Master of Arts in Education from Northern Michigan University and is licensed as a School Administrator in both Wisconsin and New Mexico.

Stephanie Shedrow, GRACE Executive Director of Learning indicates, “We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Erickson to Holy Family Catholic School. Her extensive experience, strong faith, and passion for helping students reach their full potential make her a wonderful addition to our school community. We look forward to the positive impact she will have on Holy Family School students and school as we continue a vibrant, faith-filled learning environment.”

Mrs. Erickson reflected on her new role saying, “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead alongside a great staff at Holy Family Catholic School, a school full of rich and spiritual traditions that strive for excellence in education. I am enthusiastic about joining a great community where we can share our faith, instill virtues, and empower our students to seek their full potential. I look forward to meeting each of you!”
